He has been a Professor and Head of Département of Surgery in a well-known Medical College in India. His expertise includes all aspects of General Surgery including Breast, Thyroid, Hernia, and Varicose Veins Surgeries and Laparoscopic treatment for the Appendix, Gall Bladder, Hernia, etc. His area of Special expertise includes that of Proctology which offers the latest optimized treatment for the vexed problems of Piles, Fissure, Fistula, and Sinuses. Apart from other Academic achievements he is also a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh, UK.
